The School is introducing a Bachelor of Social Work program, which will be considered a level 8 program under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). The AQF was designed by the Australian Government to ensure that qualification levels are consistent throughout Australia and can be more easily compared with international qualifications frameworks. From 2017, the Bachelor of Social Work will move to an AQF Bachelor Honours degree.

The handbook for students entering in 2017 is available.

Graduating with Honours

In the BSocWk, Honours is an in-course honours program, which means students graduating with honours graduate at the usual time, and do not undertake additional semesters. Moreover, BSocWk Honours does not currently require any additional work within the program, but is based on achievement in the BSocWk program.  There are, however, specific courses that students must complete to be eligible to graduate for honours.

Information on how to calculate your Grade Point Average (GPA) is available on MyAdvisor.
