Courses: BIOM1060, NUMW1102, NURS1101, NURS1103

Full time program with teaching activities on campus spread over 4-5 days, with Friday being CBL day. Days have different timetables and not every class is taught every week, so each week is different.

There is an intensive block placement of 15 clinical shifts across 3 weeks. These shifts are not in the timetable but the shifts roster will be sent to each student approximately 2 weeks prior to the placement. Roughly half the students (Group A) continue with classes in Weeks 8 and 9 and undertake their block placement during Weeks 10-12. Group B students undertake their 3 week placement in Weeks 8-10 and continue with classes in Week 11. There are no classes in Week 10 as all the students are on placement this week.

Students will be able to select when they go on placement (A or B, early or late placement) at sign-on, by choosing the corresponding classes (for instance choosing a class that meets in weeks 8 and 9 if a student wants to go on late placement from weeks 10-13).

Each course has its own timetable. There are lectures (L), Clinical Based Learning (B), Inquiry Based Learning (R), workshops (W), and Pracs (P).

Students sign on to groups in each course. Sign-on for NMSW courses opens 6 February 2018. Please see below for courses that have sign on. BIOM1060 is taught and administered by the School of Biomedical Sciences. Please refer to the School of Biomedical Sciences for information about BIOM1060 sign-on.
