Practical learning
UQ’s Bachelor of Midwifery was developed in consultation with the health industry. The degree is regularly updated to ensure our graduates come out confident in their skills, with real clinical scenarios; enabling them to be fully equipped to enter the professional workplace.
The program is underpinned by an innovative and practical model. In the first two years, lectures and Problem Based Learning are incorporated with clinical experience to give you exposure to the workplace and allow you to refine your skills. In all years you will attend night duty shifts in preparation for a smooth graduate transition.
