Researcher biography

As an RN my specialty was haematology, oncology, transplantation and palliative care nursing. I really enjoyed the challenge of caring for patients in an acutely critical care environment. More recently I have clinical experience in community nursing, Post Acute Care Service, Hospital in the Home and Wound clinics.

I have worked in various universities as a lecturer since 1998, and strive to keep clinically relevant. I am (over)due handing in my PhD thesis and like the idea that I may embark on a career in research. I am very interested in developing research in two particular areas of diabetes and stroke. I have a particular interest in research that improves patient outcomes, love teaching and being a clinical academic. I currently am part of the teaching team for the MNSt program.
