Midwifery Research at UQ
The UQ midwifery team are national leaders in maternal and newborn health research with expertise in clinical trials, qualitative and mixed methods research. Leading several programs of work, collaboratively, with consumers, interprofessional clinical partners, hospitals and health services, their work is strongly positioned to create lasting impact in maternity care within Australia and beyond.
Key areas of interest are non-pharmacological pain relief, respectful maternity care, intrapartum midwifery practice, breast feeding support and health system reform.
